CANDLELIT CHAKRA BALANCING RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH YOGA NIDRA
Do you feel out of sorts, tired or in need of deep rest? This workshop is perfect for you. As we move forward toward spring it is an ideal time to realign and balance our chakras. The crown of your head, your throat, and your heart are just a few of the energy centres or Chakras, in your body. You will learn what Chakras are, and how they affect your body. We will then unblock and balance all the 7 chakras with yoga poses, breath work, sound and meditation. You will be able to relax into this deliciously peaceful and calm restorative yoga practice followed by Yoga Nidra and a drink of herbal tea. The yoga poses we will be using will represent each of the chakras. Using gentle restorative twists, heart openers, hip openers and concluding with a blissful Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to finish the practice .
Yoga calms the mind and moves stagnant energy. Embracing the nurturing stillness of Restorative Yoga will calm the body and mind.
Followed by Yoga Nidra that is often called “yogic sleep”, this guided relaxation and meditation practice helps transcend you into a state of deep relaxation. You are deeply relaxed, yet still in an alert state. Clinical trials have proven it reduces anxiety, improves sleep, reduces mental tension and increases your dopamine levels creating that feel-good sensation.
